The Chamber Advocates for Your Business

Successful community partnerships are vital to the quality growth of the Douglas County region. The Castle Rock Chamber serves as liaison between Chamber members and elected officials to ensure the concerns of business are represented in government.

Political Advocacy

The Castle Rock Chamber understands the importance of a unified partnership in dealing with business issues that affect our diverse membership. We remain increasingly dedicated to identifying issues that matter to our members so we can effectively advocate for local business interests at the local, state, and federal level.

The Castle Rock Chamber is dedicated to partnering with local companies to grow their business by taking the lead in programs and efforts that help create a strong local economy and making Douglas County a great place to do business.

Chamber Advocacy Programs

The Douglas County Business Alliance (DCBA) is a coalition of business organizations with a mission to provide a single voice for the Douglas County business community on issues.

This is a united effort of the Castle Rock Chamber, Castle Rock EDC and Northwest Douglas County Chamber and EDC, to form a legislative coalition to lead and influence regional, state and federal policy, legislation and regulations. The primary focus of the DCBA is to create a positive business climate for the future of Douglas County businesses. We also offer an annual county-wide legislative meeting with our area representatives at the Douglas County Legislative Alliance Breakfast.

Government Interests Committee

The Chamber’s Government Interests Committee provides our business community with a proactive voice and advocate regarding governmental issues; and promotes economic interests, which contributes to the quality of life of Castle Rock.

This program facilitates communication and education between the business community, local, and state governments. A variety of elected officials, concerned members and townspeople meet to discuss and clarify issues that are affecting our community today, tomorrow and in the future.

Member Testimonials

“My Chamber membership has been beneficial in many respects. I have met great people, volunteered to help with community events, and grown my personal and business sphere. It has literally MORE than paid for itself over time! Since joining the GIC committee, I have become far more in tune with what is going on in both local and State government. This allows be to manage and forecast for my business in real time, and to be prepared for changes that directly affect my business. I only wish I would have joined sooner!”

Chris Sommers, Edge Home Finance

The Chamber has helped my business be more visible in the community and with the networking groups.  I have been able to make strong connections with other community business owners as well. These relationships often turn into referrals for us, and I am able to refer other businesses I know through the Chamber also.  It’s a great community!  We try to leverage the Chamber membership to be aware of the upcoming community events we should be a part of.  When important measures on the ballot come up, and there is an impact to local businesses, the chamber is the first to convey this information out to its members.

Jeremy Barton, Barcos Painting

“The Government Issues Committee is comprised of small and large businesses in and around Castle Rock who review governmental policies, laws, and elections and provide insight to the Board of Directors on upcoming issues which may impact local business. It provides each business owner an avenue to voice their concerns for Chamber of Commerce action to ensure a thriving business environment. Castle Rock Businesses are well represented at City, County, and State levels and regularly interact with representatives to elevate items of business interest and position. Chamber membership is an excellent way to establish a credible business with opportunities to market and expand your footprint while allowing owners to give back to their community.
