The Government Interests Committee facilitates communication and education between the business community, local, and state governments. A variety of elected officials, concerned members and townspeople meet to discuss and clarify issues that are affecting our community today, tomorrow and in the future.
The Committee will review state, county and town agendas and recommend positions on legislative matters and ballot issues affecting the business community to the Chamber Board. Designated representatives will be appointed to the committee who will follow/testify on legislative issues when necessary. Committee Composition: Participants must be a Castle Rock Chamber member, this committee will strive for the goal to represent the Chamber’s membership composition by profession. In addition, GIC will have ex-officio positions which could include Town Council, Town staff and/or County elected officials and/or County staff.
Meeting Frequency: 1st & 3rd Tuesday’s at 7:30 a.m.
