New in 2018, the Chamber’s Community Champions Awards was created to honor the first responders in our community that serve and protect us. The following individuals represent the men and women in their departments that inspire others through their selflessness and extraordinary service. The Chamber recognized the following organizations: Chief Matthew Packard, Colorado State Patrol, Sheriff Tony Spurlock, Douglas County Sheriff, Chief Art Morales, Castle Rock Fire, and Chief Jack Cauley, Castle Rock Police. Ridler presented each of them with a handcrafted Colorado Flag Art piece made from reclaimed wood pallets by individuals at the Wellspring Community. Wellspring Community empowers the lives of adults with special needs by creating specially modified and supported business enterprises.
The high-spirited evening would not be complete without taking a moment to recognize a few of the many successes the Chamber celebrated over the past year which included their 4-Star Accreditation recognition by the United States Chamber of Commerce. The US Chamber awarded the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce with 4-Star Accreditation for its sound policies, effective organizational procedures, and positive impact on the community. This is a tremendous honor as Castle Rock Chamber is one of only two chambers in the state of Colorado that have received a star level accreditation. Another accomplishment included the creation of the Chamber Foundation 501(c)3, a non-profit affiliate of the Chamber whose mission is to support and advance the educational, sociological, economic and cultural interests of the Castle Rock community. Proceeds from the live auction benefited the foundation.
Wrapping up the festivities included a heart-felt thank you of gratitude to the Chamber’s Chairman Circle sponsors, corporate sponsors and supporters of the Chamber’s mission and vision to Ignite Passion for Business Success and Community Prosperity. A special thank you was extended to Javier and Sarah Hoggard, Patriot Pros for sponsoring the VIP reception that kicked off the evening of celebration. The Chamber also acknowledged the long-term commitment and support from Castle Rock Bank. Castle Rock Bank is one of the Chamber’s oldest members, joining back in 1974, they recently merged with Guaranty Bank. The evening concluded with a live auction and musical entertainment provided by Dueling Pianos from Howl at the Moon. Guests enjoyed dancing and celebrating award winners/nominees, and the Chamber’s successful year well into the night.
